My wife, Fiona, and I have been married since 1981. We have two children and three grandchildren. I work as a facilities project manager in the federal government.
I have been a practicing Catholic for most of my life. When I was younger, I went through a period when I thought that I couldn’t be one, but age and wisdom helped me to return to the Church. I became a parishioner at Saint Patrick’s several years ago because of its music program. I currently sing with the Adoremus and Schola Basilicae choirs because traditional liturgical music has played a major role in my life – ever since I was a young choirboy.
Given this background, my main interests would be maintaining the architectural and artistic beauty of the Basilica, and helping to keep our traditional Catholic liturgical music tradition alive and well. My experience as a project manager may be of use to Saint Patrick’s with respect to building management and upkeep, while the musical and choral training that I received over the years may help our choirs provide the beautiful music that supports our faith.
My interests would clearly influence my priorities as a member of the Parish Council. While I would have an interest in most of the issues that the Council would address, music and the work of art that is our church building would hold special places in my heart.
