The Basilica Girls’ Choir is a Soprano/ Alto ensemble being specifically established in the autumn of 2022 to enable girls, 15 and older, to sing the Basilica’s 9:30am Sunday Mass.

With family life being so busy throughout the school year, a family-friendly schedule will allow for a more sustainable commitment on the part of choristers. The Fall Term schedule will include specific dates for Theory lessons in order to impart the basics of music notation and sight singing to the singers. There is no charge for the lessons.

The music repertoire will include classic Hymns, Liturgical Music and some Sacred Music of the Masters written for the Treble range. The Basilica Girls’ Choir will be singing and rehearsing bi-weekly. Vocal training, and or experience is not necessary.
 If you wish to have some fun, learn new music and meet other musically inclined teenagers, please contact the Music Director!
